Start Digital @ Clasa a 4-a was featured today at the AmCham EU Workshop  on the Future of Work, where discussions were focused on education and learning in the digital era, preparing for the future of work.

This AmCham Romania initiative was presented by Executive Director Anca Harasim: “Start Digital @ the 4th Grade is AmCham Romania’s call to all relevant stakeholders to work together to prepare the future workforce for the demands of the digital economy and to improve Romania’s DESI Index, by developing digital skills and competencies starting with primary school age. This initiative is testing the relevancy and the related mechanisms by which we can foster the digital skills of primary school children and adapt school frameworks to the current global trend of digital transformation.”

Throughout the project, participants exchanged ideas, co-designed tools and related mechanisms, aimed at creating a bridge between companies and teachers in primary schools.

Following the interactions among children, teachers and the experts from the companies involved in the project, a documented snapshot of the current situation with insights taken from all these actors will be issued in order to assess the opportunity to introduce digital skills in primary school curricula and also proposing viable ways to do that.
