Coalitia pentru Dezvoltarea Romaniei - Press Statement

Coalitia pentru Dezvoltarea Romaniei (CDR) is a consultative platform with a set of objectives envisaging Romania’s long-term economic development, which brings together 25 business organizations from Romania. Being a strategic and representative partner for the Romanian business environment, in the past two years CDR’s members have been engaged in an ongoing dialogue with the Government, through an active participation within the task forces that are linked to the main economic areas regarding taxation, IT, infrastructure, energy, health, education etc. Also, the Coalition has been in contact with parliamentary committees, major political parties, the Presidency and with international bodies like the World Bank.

Following the tragic event that happened at the Colectiv Club in Bucharest, Coalition’s members consider that the absolute priority now is effectively involving in helping the victims.

On behalf of the Coalition members, we express our willingness and commitment to remain a reliable partner for all stakeholders that are interested in keeping the train on track, representing a relevant community of the Romanian business environment, ready to help find the best solutions in view of a substantial and long-term modernization of the country, based on our shared values.

About Coaliţia pentru Dezvoltarea României
Coalitia pentru Dezvoltarea Romaniei (CDR) is a private, non-political initiative, gathering the most representative organizations for the business environment in Romania. It is constructed as a formal collaborative arrangement by its combined membership, all of which have good standing as organizations in Romania. Coalitia's main purpose is to provide a cohesive basis for consultation with the Government and other public institutions on topics that impact the business and economic climate in Romania.

CDR’s Coordination

CDR is being coordinated by a Board of Directors composed of the Presidents and Vice-presidents of the Businessmen's Association of Romania (AOAR), the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham), the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) and the Romanian Business Leaders (RBL).
