AmCham Presents the Recommendations in the 6th Edition of the Priorities for Romania

by AmCham Romania December 3, 2020

  • Maintaining the investment rating, finalizing public infrastructure projects in various stages of development, identifying a new model of convergence, public administration reform are among the short-term economic policy priorities recommended by AmCham.
  • Midterm, Romania must capitalize on the opportunity to reposition itself by increasing the relevance of its economy in the region, at the European and global level.
  • To consolidate its long-term economic and geostrategic relevance, Romania needs a Country Project now, to define Romania's regional and international role beyond 2030.

AmCham Romania shared with the political parties and their candidates running in the 2020 parliamentary elections AmCham members’ vision on the necessary measures for Romania’s economic recovery and repositioning towards sustainable, mid to long term strategic priorities, as outlined in the new edition of the AmCham Priorities for Romania.

The recommendations in the sixth edition of this AmCham paper are building in the overall objectives of recovery, competitiveness and economic growth for Romania that AmCham has promoted in the dialogue with the central authorities and decision makers throughout 2020, and call for addressing without delay the systemic vulnerabilities that affect critical sectors in the economy as well as using the unique opportunities generated by the health and economic crisis.

>>The attached press releases highlights the key recommendations in the document.
