AmCham Meeting with Prime-Minister Nicolae Ciucă and Members of the Cabinet

AmCham shared members’ views on leading topics on the economic agenda during a meeting today with PM Nicolae Ciucă and members of the cabinet, Minister of Finance Adrian Câciu, Minister of Digitalization Sebastian Burduja, Minister of Economy Florin Spătaru, Minister of Health Alexandru Rafila.

The discussion agenda included AmCham’s recommendations on the tax reform, Romania’s agenda for attracting more investments: investment agency, state-aid scheme for strategic investments, healthcare, digital transformation, consumer protection and sanctioning regime.

On this occasion, AmCham President Ionut Simion shared with the PM and cabinet members the main findings of the 2022 AmCham Business Barometer Survey.

AmCham was represented in the meeting by members of the Board of Directors Ionuț Simion, President, Cristian Sporiș, Vice-President, Alex Milcev, Treasurer, Board members at large Roberto Musneci, Achilleas Kanaris, Mihaela Stancu, Ciprian Lăduncă, Luminița Runcan, Andrei Andreescu, Alina Orban and AmCham Executive Director Letiția Pupăzeanu, Raluca Manea, EU Affairs Manager, AmCham and Ana-Maria Ciobanu, Advocacy Manager, AmCham.

Given the complicated context, AmCham reinforced the need for a government agenda and actions to alleviate the impact of the multiple crisis affecting the economy and building investor confidence.
