AmCham Romania received, via the AmChams in Europe Network, an urgent request from the Government of Ukraine which is looking to procure food supplies in the context of the ongoing war. This message was shared with member AmChams by AmCham Ukraine.
The Government of Ukraine is looking to procure:
10 million packs of pasta (all types, 500 g / 1000 g each pack)
50 million cans of meat / fish (100 g / 500 g each pack) / backed beans could be an alternative
10 million packs of rice (all types, 500 g / 1000 g each pack)
10 million packs of cereals (all types, 500 g / 1000 g each pack)
20 million army food packs (one day ration / 3 meals) in line with NATO and/or UN standards
The products will be delivered (by sea, if the case) to Constanța. The shipment form Constanța to Ukraine will be handled by the Government of Ukraine.
The Government of Ukraine will pay:
30% of the total price immediately,
60% of the total price when the products are loaded in the ship and customs documents are confirmed
and
10% when containers are delivered to Constanța.
The Government of Ukraine aims to procure the food in the ucpoming days and deliver it immediately.
