• Invitations to business lunches with Alice Bitu and Catalin Doica: topics of interest;
• Agenda for the State-aid event to be co-organized with MEF;
• Brief presentation made by Dan Schwartz of the main proposals sent to MEF to amend the Fiscal Code;
• Consultation at EU level on: VAT- Review of existing legislation on invoicing - The European Commission has launched an online consultation to ascertain the views of businesses on the review of the existing legislation on VAT invoicing. The consultation is based on an Invoicing Study to be produced for the Commission. The Commission hopes to receive contributions concerning a selection of the recommendations contained in the Invoicing Study and other recommendations businesses may have. More information is contained in the consultation document. Our comments, if any, should be sent by 19 September 2008 at the latest.
• Report: Taxation trends in the European Union, 2008 edition, stating that Romania has the lowest taxation level in the EU. The full 448 page report can be downloaded at: http://ec.europa.eu/taxtrands
