2016 AmCham US Independence Day Super Concert

AmCham Romania proudly announces the 2016 edition of the U.S. Independence Day event on Monday, July 4, 2016, starting with 20:00 hrs, at the Summer Theater in Herăstrău Park.

Let the show begin for AmCham members in a new and fresh format of an open air concert, bringing together the legendary composer Philip Glass and Kronos Quartet in a powerful mix of live music and multimedia display.

This special summer show powered by AmCham will bring on the same stage the screening of the re-digitalized cult-film Dracula from 1931 starring Bela Lugosi, and the soundtrack especially composed by Philip Glass for this movie in 1998, performed live by the composer himself, next to the famous string quartet based in San Francisco, Kronos Quartet.

“Dracula-The Music and Film” was a sold-out event at Los Angeles Opera, New York and London, with Philip Glass’ music underlining the romanticism of the story and the haunting power of Bela Lugosi’s gaze, maintaining an engagingly listenable and timeless chamber-music feel, the perfect marriage of the alive and the undead.

This event is organized on the occasion of 240 years from the U.S. Independence, 75 years from launching the Dracula movie, and 60 years from the death of actor Bela Lugosi (leading role and with Romanian roots).

Access by invitation only. Every AmCham Romania member will receive two free tickets/company. AmCham Patron members will benefit of VIP seats.
Printed tickets with seat arrangements will follow via courier after we receive your confirmation of attendance.
