Topics:A few months after the entry into force of the new Romanian Civil Code, there are still queries and debates regarding the practical implications of several institutions. The new Civil Code comes with a reorganization of the legal regime of security rights and the unification of the civil and commercial approaches towards the contractual partners.
Considering the approach of the new Civil Code, Florentina Golisteanu of White & Case shall deliver a presentation on “Privileges and security under the new Civil Code”.
The presentation will focus on practical aspects, such as items which should be given particular attention by the parties when shaping new contracts or amending old ones, rights and obligations in disposing of the secured asset, settling the preference order of the creditors or dealing with security on behalf of a syndicate of banks.
