AmCham Romania invites its members to a half a day seminar on modifications of the competition-related legislation and practical aspects of companies’ self-assessment.
Presentations will be delivered by Competition Council representatives, who will review the main legislative amendments introduced by amending the Competition Law 21/1996 and will present the role of the Competition Council in relation to the observance of the competition norms and principles in the context of the companies' self-assessment of their conduct on the market.
Presentations will touch on aspects such as:
- the functioning of the self-assessment mechanism;
- the implications of the removal of the possibility to request individual exemption for vertical agreements and concerted practices;
- the points of view communicated by the Competition Council upon any issue in the field of competition policy;
- informal letters - orientations regarding the new issues raised by applying in individual cases Art. 5 and Art. 6 of the Competition Law 21/1996.
Specific issues related to self-assessment in the case of vertical agreements (i.e. self-assessment of exclusivity clauses and in case the market share of a company exceeds 30% on the relevant market) will be also tackled.
A Q&A session will offer the participants the opportunity to address their related questions to the Competition Council representatives.
