The United States Embassy, the Economic Section of the U.S. Embassy and the Foreign Commercial Section of the US Embassy, together with the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania) organized a trade delegation to the city of Cluj-Napoca on November 20, 2007.
This initiative aimed to discuss with local and regional entrepreneurs and local authorities about the business environment, challenges faced after the closing of the EU accession and the difficulties companies have in doing business locally. On the same occasion AmCham Romania promoted its 2007 Advocacy Agenda and showcased the American investments in the region as examples of best practices.
The event was hosted by His Excellency Nicholas Taubman, U.S. Ambassador to Bucharest. Ms. Cindy Biggs, Commercial Attache of the Foreign Commercial Section was also present at the event and AmCham was represented by Anca Harasim, Executive Director.
