AmCham Romania members are invited to a Round Table “Workforce in a New Economy” to be held on July 16, 2010. The event is organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania) in partnership with IBM Romania and bpv Grigorescu, and is aimed at establishing a set of proposals referring to necessary public policies and measures to be taken in order to raise the employment rate – economic growth generating factor, in a re-launched economy, for the next 3-5 years period.
Presentations will include:
- Business community’s priorities for economic growth and workplaces creation/ raise of employment rate;
- Company actions for growth and workforce capitalization;
- The need for highly qualified workforce with combined specializations/ the need for skills change;
- Beaurocratic and legal barriers in coherent functionning and flexibility of the labor market;
- The workforce in the new economy.
Roundtable Discussion Topics:
- Modernization/ optimal functionning of the labor market;
- Revising the set of neccessary skills and competencies in the new stage/ new business model/ new society
- Adaptation of the rules for internal and international workforce mobility.
