Business Breakfast on Opportunities for Companies to Involve in Key Innovation Projects

Date:
05/06/2010

Timeline:
9.00 - 10.30 am

Location:
AmCham Conference Room

Type:
Business Breakfast

Topics:

AmCham Romania members are invited to an open and factual discussion on the opportunities companies have to involve in key innovation projects in Romania.

Discussions will be led by Professor Adrian Curaj, President of the National Authority for Scientific Research under the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sports.

Professor Curaj will make an overview of existing projects, their implementation status, and will provide information related to innovation, research & development projects in the pipeline for which funding is already committed, and in which private companies can partner.

Innovation is the cross cutting element within the EU 2020 Strategy, therefore the discussion on May 6 will also touch on:
1. Public investment in research
2. Incentives offered to the private sector for boosting innovation
3. Use of cohesion funds 2014-2020 for innovation and correlation with the allocations from public sources
4. Attractiveness of higher education and research (current EU funded reform projects in higher education, funding of the human resources correlated with the research, companies involvement in joint projects with practical applications)

Should you be interested in specific issues or technical aspects, Prof. Curaj will be happy to share, provided you raise them in advance by May 4, 5.00 pm so the required information and data can be properly prepared.
