Topics:AmCham Romania is organizing an “Open Day Centers” event on February 11, 2010.
The highly dynamic ICT segment affects various economic sectors, creating sustainable growth, being a “green” industry in terms of environmental impact, adding value to business or work done in any organization, public or private.
To the extent that the industry is addressed as a strategic priority with the communications, research and innovation, actions should focus on real-investment on the ICT sector, financial incentives for investments, development of special economic areas and technology parks for consolidation of the sector.
ICT industry can be one of the drivers of the economic growth given the high added value in the services, highly skilled workforce that undertakes, the potential to reduce the current account deficit by increasing exports of software, using of communications and information technology in accessing structural funds etc.
The “Open Day Centers” event is trying to show that now is a good time to use this industry strategically, so that, through ICT to improve significantly the competitiveness of Romania.
The main targets of this event are the representatives of public administration, authorities, international organizations and universities.
The event is organized with the support of: Dell Perot Systems, Freescale Semiconductor Romania, Hewlett Packard, IBM Romania, Microsoft Romania, Oracle Romania, SIVECO, and CMS Cameron McKenna and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
