GE has been active in Romania since 1984. The number of employees exceeds 900 people today and is continuously growing. Currently, GE local presence consists of the representative office, some registered businesses, Unison Engine Components, (former Turbomecanica Combustor Products) - the only manufacturing unit for aircraft engine parts GE has in South Eastern Europe, also GE Money, about to start the external rebranding process of the three non-banking companies acquired in the third quarter of 2006.
GE Healthcare, present on the Romanian market as well, offers a broad range of services to improve productivity in healthcare and enable healthcare providers to better diagnose, treat and manage patients. The new campaign, “Healthcare Re-imagined”, highlights GE’s unique abilities to leverage technological and biological breakthroughs to transform healthcare delivery from treating “late disease” to a focus on “early health” – where prediction, diagnosis and information management are key to prevention and pre –symptomatic disease detection.
