The ICT Committee addresses authorities and community on special initiatives to promote the industry, advocates for infrastructure improvements in the field of IT and Communications, for an increased the role of ICT in the administration and for the promotion of incentives aimed at maximizing this sector’s potential of contributing to Romania’s development from several angles. It also deals with labor force shortage and education, data security and the intellectual property protection issues.
The Committee’s intention is to encourage innovation, economic growth and improvements in daily life for both citizens and businesses.
Members have the opportunity to actively and directly participate in defining, developing, discussing, and resolving issues impacting the operations of their businesses in Romania.
Committee membership is comprised of major multinational U.S., International and Romanian IT companies, as well as consultancy and law firms.
Meetings of the ICT Committee or its Subgroups are announced to registered members in advance, are posted on the AmCham webpage under the Committees’ Meetings Calendar and included in the AmCham Weekly Update.
