The launching of the book “Arbitration in Romania: A Practitioner's Guide”

The Publishing House Wolters Kluwer Romania will organise on 7th of October, from 14.00 to 19.00, at Constantin Stoicescu Hall from the Faculty of Law, Bucharest University, the launching in Romania of the book “Arbitration in Romania: A Practitioner's Guide”, 2016 edition  – coordinated by Crenguţa Leaua, Attorney at law and Vice-president of the ICC Paris and Prof Univ. Flavius-Antoniu Baias PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Bucharest University.

Cristiana I. Stoica, Founding Partner STOICA & Asociaţii and arbiter at The Court of International Commercial Arbitration attached to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, is co-author of Chapter 5: „Institutional Arbitration in Romania”.

In a consistent book, written in English and published by Kluwer Law International, the Romanian arbitration rules are analysed from different perspectives: legal framework and existing practice.

The book is a very useful tool for lawyers, legal counsels, officials of the chambers of commerce, local and foreign companies and embassies, and for those who want to acquire a deeper understanding of the way conflicts are settled by means of arbitration in Romania. These people can find in the book various interpretations of the arbitral rules, validated by reputable Romanian practitioners. The topics of the book describe the legal framework of the arbitration in Romania, the choice of law, arbitral proceedings, arbitral institutions, the role of the courts of law in arbitration, and the role of the arbitration in investments.
