AmCham President Ionuţ Simion was among the speakers of the Forbes Romania CEE Forum in Bucharest.
In answering a question regarding Romania’s greatest challenges for the coming year, he stressed that Romania has never been more ready to take its efforts towards sustainable economic growth to the next level. A long-term vision and strategy for Romania’s development are leading AmCham recommendations, and the fact similar approaches have been called by other members of the business community and recently by a Government initiative – Competitive Romania – only proves that the time is right for this strategic project to continue.
The next Government should not miss the opportunity to build on what has been done so far in this regard, and must continue shaping a multi-generational country development model around the most valuable resource, the human capital, by addressing leading challenges impacting it - a consistent reform of the education system and the downward demographic trend.
