The Top 10 Indicators for the first two years of mandate of Vodafone Romania’s CEO

Vodafone Romania’s CEO, Ravinder Takkar, announced, within a media meeting, the top 10 indicators for the first two years of mandate. The list reads:

• Customers: Almost 1 million more new customers, versus two years ago;
• Smartphones: Over 1.2 million more smartphones within the base, versus two years ago;
• 4G services: Over 1.1 million more customers, versus two years ago;
• 4G roaming: 85 more countries, versus two years ago;
• Data traffic growth: Compound annual growth rate of over 100%, versus two years ago;
• Voice: Compound annual growth rateof over 10%, versus two years ago;
• Network sites: 50% more sites, versus two years ago;
• Certifications: Two consecutive years of best results for voice and data, certified by P3 Communications;
• Brand: Romanians consider Vodafone as leader of the 4G services, whether they are users or non-users;
• Growth: Four consecutive quarters of service revenue growth, faster than the market and the fastest growing Vodafone operations in Europe.

Vodafone Romania reported a 7.7% growth for the 2015-2016 financial year.

The Vodafone Romania Foundation has invested 23 million euros in education, healthcare and social services

The Vodafone Romania Foundation has invested 23 million euro throughout its 18 years of activity, in education, healthcare, social services and volunteering projects. Over 1.4 million people have seen the benefits of the foundation's projects throughout the years.

Starting in 2015, the Vodafone Romania Foundation has also carried out the Rural Investments Strategic Program, dedicated to the small-urban and rural areas, with a EUR 650,000 budget last year. Funds were assigned to projects that involved 30,000 beneficiaries.

In its 18 years since the establishment, the Foundation's most significant projects have included opening a new intensive care unit for the newborn at the "Marie Curie" Hospital in Bucharest (a 2 million euro investment), implementing telemedicine solutions with the SMURD emergency service and with the "Marie Curie" Hospital (which allow doctors to remotely assess the status of children), renovating the major blood transfusion centers in Romania (EUR 350,000 investments between 2011 - 2016) and the "Connecting for Good" program.
