by UPS April 29, 2016

US logistics company UPS has introduced a new cargo flight segment and has opened a new operational center in Cluj-Napoca.

UPS thus connects 44 cities in eight counties located in the North Central region of Romania to its European hub in Cologne / Bonn, Germany. The counties include Alba, Bistrita-Nasaud, Cluj, Maramures, Mures, Salaj, Satu Mare, and Sibiu.

The company thus extends the maximum hours of taking in parcels for export shipments by air.

UPS tries to meet the needs of multinational and local companies that wish to expand in international markets, said Daniel Carrera, UPS president for Eastern Europe.

UPS has daily flights from the Otopeni, Timisoara, and Cluj-Napoca airports. The company has 140 employees and a fleet of over 100 cars in Romania.
