The consortium led by SIVECO will ensure the European Commission’s Taxation and Customs Union Directorate-General, DG TAXUD the provision of services that will be used by all 28 EU countries, covering multifaceted training support programmes, eLearning development and communication services in the field of customs and taxation

As on the 1st of May a new Taxation Code will be enforced, the European Commission’s, DG TAXUD is consistently acting both at EU level and in each of the 28 member countries, to support the implementation of EU customs and tax legislation and policies, to reinforce high quality service provision, and to foster consistent performance by the customs and tax profession within the EU. Immediate, correct and intuitive dissemination of the new rules to national customs institutions, economical operators and general public is essential.

Thus, to achieve its goals, the European Commission has selected the consortium composed of SIVECO Romania and INTRASOFT International to provision (within the B-Train 3 Framework Contract) services covering multifaceted EU training support programmes, eLearning development, and communication services in the field of customs and taxation.
The framework contract has a value of 9.4 million euro and was signed for a duration 3 years which can be extended with up to 3 additional years.

Florin Ilia, President & CEO of SIVECO Romania, said: “We are honoured to be chosen once again as a trustworthy software and services provider by the European Commission. So far, SIVECO, along with its partners, has implemented more than 20 European projects, directly delivered to the European Commission, that involve the development of integrated IT systems, with direct benefits to millions of EU citizens. We are dedicated to delivering quality, passionate about our work and committed to succeed in our mission to become one of the main software houses at European level”.

The programme that will be implemented at DG TAXUD will lead to more uniform and efficient customs and tax operations throughout the EU, and will further enhance consistent performance and harmonised implementation of common legislative measures. Moreover, the project will support the experts and officials in customs and taxation, as well as economic operators, by informing, training and certifying them, communicating and exchanging best practice. For the first time, the new EU Taxation Code puts the general public in direct relationship with DG TAXUD which imposes an efficient communication at this level. All these actions will lead to increased efficiency in the implementation of EU regulations.

Stefan Morcov, Deputy Vice-President of SIVECO Romania, added: “The B-Train 3 Programme acknowledges the high added value of SIVECO IT products and services deployed for the European Commission and confirms our strong position in the European software industry.”

SIVECO Romania, as the leader of the consortium, has solid expertise and a long track record in successfully designing, implementing and managing over 3,500 complex projects, for more than 1,500 clients in 27 countries on 4 continents.
