#Colectiv Effort to Help the Injured and Their Families

by AmCham Romania November 10, 2015

Dear AmCham Members,

Following the tragic arson at the Colectiv club in Bucharest, where more than 40 young people lost their lives and over 100 are still struggling to survive, the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania is taking a stand, inviting you all to make a difference and give a helping hand, in a collective effort, to those who were injured and to their families.

We have identified three organizations that we encourage you to contact, in order to identify the best way to help them, while offering the survivors a chance for a better treatment and life:

1. Daruieste Viata Association is already involved in building sterile rooms in hospitals and is now raising funds for medicines and for properly equipping hospitals where those injured in the Colectiv Club fire are treated.

2. Estuar Foundation is raising money through the online campaign #‎ImpreunaRezistam. Donations go directly to the victims' families and the foundation was also involved in coordinating a crisis unit together with the Ministry of Health.

3. The Red Cross is also raising money for those injured in the arson through the “We care. Together we give hope” campaign. You can find out more about this campaign here.

Our thanks go to all our members who choose to get involved by supporting this #Colectiv effort!
