On September 3rd, at the AmCham premises members attended an insightful discussion with Mr. Sorin Moisa, Member of the European Parliament. The meeting focused on collecting feedback from our members with regard to the encountered problems in their import/export activity in order to further address them through the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). Mr. Sorin Moisa pointed out TTIP specific issues, giving useful and helpful insights regarding the implications that TTIP has for Romania's business environment and for the companies operating here.

In this context, we encourage you to have your say on TTIP through an online consultation platform, a joint project of the weekly Capital magazine and Romanian MEP Sorin Moisa aiming to identify Romania specific TTIP interests and agenda.

AmCham President, Ms Daniela Nemoianu, held the opening remarks stating that this meeting is part of AmCham’s agenda of promoting TTIP opportunities in view of supporting member companies to have an active stand towards the signing of the transatlantic partnership. AmCham will continue to advocate for a comprehensive TTIP framework and within the following months will be organizing more TTIP related events, with the participation of high-level officials and decision-makers.
