On May 25, AmCham members attended a Business Breakfast with Ms. Angela Filote, the Head of the European Commission Representation Office in Romania. The presentation focused on the Investment Plan for Europe as a promising, attractive hub for jobs, growth and investment, both for large companies and SMEs.
The presentation revealed that the Juncker Plan is built on three main pillars which are mutually reinforcing and will unlock public and private investments of at least € 315 billion over the next three years:
1. Mobilising sources of investment finance without creating public debt
2. Making finance reach the real economy through a pipeline of viable projects in sectors such as: infrastructure, education, research and innovation
3. Removing financial and non-financial barriers to investments
