AmCham Romania Invited to the Consultation Meeting Called by the Romanian Presidency on May 20, 2015

by AmCham Romania May 22, 2015

AmCham Romania President Daniela Nemoianu attended the consultation meeting with representatives of the business community called by President Klaus Iohannis on May 20, 2015.

This was the first such meeting initiated by the Romanian President and was primarily designed to assess the opportunities, challenges and priorities of the Romanian business environment. President Iohannis stressed that the interest of the Presidential Administration is to foster both private initiative and entrepreneurship in the Romanian economy.

Representatives of the private sector have acknowledged the importance of similar meetings that offer them the opportunity to express their views on the economy. A stable economic environment that would stimulate high added value especially for those areas representing Romania’s key competitive advantages, improved quality of the regulatory framework impacting businesses, and a real dialogue with the authorities were among the priorities set out by the business community representatives during the meeting.
