We are pleased to announce that mergermarket has ranked DLA Piper #1 globally by overall M&A deal volume for the fifth consecutive year.
This ranking reflects our involvement in nearly 450 transactions worldwide and confirms the strength of our global team. Some of our highly publicized deals announced in 2014 include representing Vodafone in its acquisition of Ono, Spain’s largest cable operator (€7.2 billion) and Synergy Health plc in its merger with STERIS Corporation (US$5.2 billion).
DLA Piper also retained its #1 ranking (by deal count) in both Europe and the UK, and was ranked #4 in the US.
2014 was also an active year for DLA Piper Romania. The firm was involved in major transactions such as the selling by OMV Petrom and E.On of a 57.18% participation in Congaz S.A.
