Alina Angelescu is the new Accounting Partner at TPA Horwath Romania. Together with fellow partner Claudia Stanciu-Stănciulescu, Alina will coordinate the company’s accounting practice, including the services of statutory accounting reporting, payroll accounting, international reporting standards (IFRS, US GAAP), accounting review, budget and forecast, cash management and other financial management products tailored to meet individual client profiles and industry requirements.
Alina joined the TPA Horwath Romania team in 2004. In her previous role as Senior Manager in the company’s audit practice she was responsible for various audit engagements and the preparation of financial statements according to Romanian Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards, as well as other audit-related assignments for a wide variety of clients in the trade and manufacturing, real estate, construction, freight forwarding and IT&C sectors. Alina has also supervised due diligence projects for investors in the fields of real estate, transport and integrated logistics and renewable energy.
A graduate of the International Business and Economics Faculty at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Alina is a professional with more than 15 years of experience in the fields of accounting, audit and advisory, which she acquired while working for reputable multinational professional services and consultancy firms. Her international exposure began while employed as an auditor in the Swiss business environment. She has since acquired significant knowledge and expertise through working with local and cross-border businesses, and leading various teams of younger professionals, to whom she also acted as mentor.
