Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen (NNDKP) was awarded the “Romanian Intellectual Property Firm of the Year” distinction at the Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) gala that took place last night in London. Delia Belciu, senior associate in the firm’s IP practice, accepted the award on behalf of NNDKP.
The ninth edition of the award ceremony hosted by MIP (an international reference guide in the field of intellectual property) recognizes firms around the globe that excel in providing legal and consultancy services in the field. In addition to the jurisdictional awards, the publication acknowledges firms at continental and global level. The winners are selected by MIP’s researchers and editors based on a survey that includes detailed analyses of each market and discussions with clients and competitors.

The fact that such a prestigious publication as Managing IP recognizes our complex activity and quality of services in a rather niche area, is a sign that this field is becoming increasingly more sophisticated in Romania” states Ana-Maria Baciu, Partner and head of NNDKP’s IP practice.
This year NNDKP was the only firm in Romania to have been ranked in the first tier by the specialized trademark research publication, World Trademark Review 1000 (WTR1000) in both practice areas analyzed in our jurisdiction: prosecution and strategy and enforcement and litigation.
Over the past years, NNDKP was also top ranked by the most prestigious international research institutions, MIP, IAM Patent 1000 (specialized in patent law) and Chambers & Partners, European edition, guides that have not yet published their rankings for 2014.
