Ioana Sârbu joins EY as Senior Manager in The Tax Department

She will coordinate the EY tax advisory teams of Timiºoara and Cluj-Napoca
Ioana Sârbu, with 10 years professional experience in consulting, joined the EY team as Senior Manager in the Tax Department. Ioana specialized in tax advisory services, accounting and M&A, performing these services for large companies from the local business environment.
In this new position, Ioana will support the teams in Timiºoara and Cluj-Napoca, coordinating them in delivering professional services to the company’s costumers and serving EY’s efforts to expand its client portfolio and market share, and also to enhance the range of tax advisory services. The EY team in Timiºoara comprises 19 professionals and the one in Cluj-Napoca 14 professionals.

As a tax consultant, auditor and Chartered Accountant, Ioana counts among her clients numerous multinational and Romanian companies, while being Manager and Senior Manager at Mazars România and Consultant and Senior Consultant at Haarmann Hemmelrath & Partner. Throughout her career, Ioana has been involved in major auditing, tax advisory and financial advisory projects, offering consultancy services in the field of direct taxation, VAT and accounting. Ioana assisted her clients during tax inspections, conducted due diligence projects, structured transactions from a fiscal point of view and conducted tax audits as part of audit projects. Furthermore, Ioana is an authorized trainer, delivering trainings on tax and accounting issues. Since 2008, Ioana is a member of ACCA, one of the most acclaimed international professional associations in the field of accounting. Ioana is also a member of Romanian professional associations in the field, such as: CCFR, CAFR and CECCAR.
