Austria/Romania: New member in Schoenherrs Steering Committee

Schoenherr, a leading corporate law firm in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), has named Sebastian Guþiu, the managing partner of the firm’s Bucharest office, as a new member of its Steering Committee.
The Steering Committee consists of four members, including the firm’s managing partner, and directs the firm. Guþiu’s responsibilities as a Steering Committee member focus on the firm’s finances.

Sebastian Guþiu, who was one of the first international partners at Schoenherr, has been the managing partner of the firm’s Bucharest office since 2008. Following his study of law at Universitatea Timisoara and the University of Graz/Austria, Guþiu has specialized in real estate law, as well as in arbitration and litigation. He heads Schonherr’s Romanian real estate and construction team, as well as the Bucharest office’s dispute resolution practice, in whose establishment he played a key role. Guþiu has advised numerous Austrian and German property development firms on their projects in Romania. In addition, he has been advising several of Romania’s largest corporations on both legal matters involving their day-to-day business, as well as on real estate and arbitration matters in Romania and internationally. Guþiu speaks fluent English, German and Romanian.
Recognized leadership in Romania and across CEE
