SIVECO Romania Project - Finalist at the European IT & Software Excellence Awards

The eLearning project implemented in Kazakhstan by the National Center of Informatisation in partnership with SIVECO Romania - Finalist at the European IT & Software Excellence Awards

Over 4,200 digital education resources have been implemented in 537 education centers in Kazakhstan, for 27 school and vocational subjects

The digital education content solution developed within the eLearning project in Kazakhstan brought the two partners – the National Centre of Informatisation in Kazakhstan (NCI) and SIVECO Romania - the Finalist title within the international competition European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2013, Government Solutions category.

„We are proud that this project developed during a year, with the aim of supporting the governmental program for education development in Kazakhstan, already received international recognition and we are confident that in won’t be long until it will represent a best practice example for other countries in the region, too. Until 2015, the pupils and teachers in more than 50% of schools will benefit from the digital content solution developed by NCI and SIVECO Romania. This solution creates a change of paradigm in approaching the teaching/learning process, based on which it will be ensured a smooth transition of the Kazakh education system from its traditional form to an IT-based education system”, declared Nurgaliyeva Gul Kumashevna, President of the National Centre of Informatisation, Kazakhstan.

The solution developed by NCI and SIVECO Romania received the jury’s appreciation for its pedagogical value and the increased level and for the users’ high level of interactivity with the multimedia elements of the virtual lessons, as well as with the features for evaluating the knowledge acquired. The project was also appreciated for its large scale, as the eLearning solution is going to be implemented in over 90% of the schools in Kazakhstan by 2020, according to the education strategy from Kazakhstan.

Over 4,200 interactive multimedia resources in Russian and Kazakh languages have been implemented in 537 education centers in Kazakhstan, for 8 school subject matters, such as mathematics, algebra, geometry, physics and 19 vocational subjects.

The project in Kazakhstan is a project very dear to us, for which we have intensively worked and that has benefited from the expertise of many teaching staff from the Kazakh education system”, stated Radu Jugureanu, eContent Manager, SIVECO Romania.

The IT solution implemented by SIVECO and NCI aimed at increasing the efficiency of the teaching materials and the pupil-teacher interaction, through the development and implementation of interactive digital content for pupils in gymnasia, high schools and vocational schools.
