This unique and high-profile though leadership focuses chiefly on the business response to globalization. It asserts that opportunities are becoming harder to find in both rapid-growth and developed markets, and the complexities of operating in varied environments are increasing daily. The findings draw on a survey of 1,000 senior business executives worldwide and research for our Globalization Index, which measures the world’s 60 largest economies according to their degree of globalization relative to their GDP (gross domestic product).
Drawing on three sources of original research, we explore how businesses can respond to four key business challenges:
- Succeeding in rapid-growth markets is harder than it used to be
- One size does not fit all markets
- Policy has become more important and less predictable
- Good people are hard to find
