New Horizons Foundation Receives Prestigious Aspen Award for Education Excellence

Diana Certan, (COO of www.new-horizons.ro) received "Leaders of the Future: Grassroots Education" award as part of the prestigious Aspen Leadership Awards Gala (Aspen Institute Romania) on behalf of a "Community of Education for Romania".
This recognition is awarded for significant contributions to the Romanian educational environment, notably transforming young people into active citizens. “The organization which Ms. Certan is running with her colleagues created the largest youth community service learning movement in Romania and has exported its learning model to countries like the US, Honduras or the Republic of Moldova. This is but one of the reasons why Aspen Romania chose Ms. Certan to receive this award…”
Diana received this award with 2 others: Mugur Isarescu (Governor of the National Bank of Romania) for "Values-based Leaderhip" and Mr. Laurentiu Serban (Sergeant Major, Ministry of Defense and Discovery Romania Hero of 2011) for "Service with Dignity".
