Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Johnson Controls, a global leader in the automotive seating, interiors and electronics, on the acquisition of the automotive division of Spumotim S.A. The acquisition means that Johnson Controls is now the leading automotive supplier in the region.
White & Case advised on all aspects of the transaction including labor and employment, environmental law and competition regulations. The Bucharest team assisted Johnson Controls throughout the entire project, starting with the preliminary discussions, through the due diligence processes and finalizing the negotiations of the relevant documents regarding the acquisition and its notification before the Romanian Competition Council.
