Popovici Nițu & Asociații Advised Auchan on the Acquisition of Tricodava Platform

Popovici Nițu & Asociații advised Auchan Romania on the acquisition of a former industrial platform in Bucharest (the former factory Tricodava) from Spanish investor Pryconsa, in a multimillion transaction.
Our Firm also advised Auchan on the structuring and implementation of a very complex acquisition mechanism which involved the issuance of various payment instruments and payment guarantees by Romanian and foreign banks. The real estate is intended to be used for the development of a commercial center in southwestern Bucharest.
The 5-lawyer team was led by Bogdan C. Stoica, M&A/Corporate partner, and Irina Ivanciu, Senior Associate with Popovici Nițu & Asociații. The tax advice on the transaction has been conducted by Mihaela Pohaci, tax partner with Popovici Nițu & Asociații Tax SRL.
Over the last years, Popovici Nițu & Asociații advised Auchan in relation to various acquisitions which included (i) the acquisition of Craiova Electroputere Platform, for the development of Electroputere Shopping Center, (ii) the acquisition of Polus Constanta and Coresi Brasov Projects, as well as in relation to (iii) their hypermarket projects within the European Retail Parks in Bucharest, Targu Mures and Suceava.
