Local law firm Bulboaca & Associates strengthens its tax practice by recruiting attorney Andrada Coiciu-Trifan. Her mission is to develop the team specialized in taxes, area considered by Bulboaca & Associates as having potential and which will be targeted in the near future.

Andrada Coiciu-Trifan, 28, previously held the position of Head of Legal and Compliance Department in one of the top local non-banking financial institutions. Andrada is a member of the Bucharest Bar Association since 2006, qualified attorney since 2008 and is fluent in English and French.

Bulboaca & Associates was founded in 2007 by attorney Adrian Bulboaca, quickly becoming one of the strongest brands in the local profile market. • advising OTP Hungary in connection with the sale of the insurance division to French company Groupama, in a transaction worth USD 897.2 million;

• advising Dole Europe SAS in connection with the take over of the largest fruit distributor in Romania;

• advising Kraft Foods Romania in connection with closing the factory Kraft Foods in Brasov;

• advising Wipro Technologies in connection with the undertaking transfer as part of a multijurisdictional transfer in Alcatel Lucent;

• advising JP Morgan Europe Limited in connection with the restructuring of a loan in amount of EUR 673.5 million granted to a German company in the auto industry;

• advising Industrial & Financial Group ASCOM S.A. in connection with an international arbitration against Kazakhstan State in relation to oil development and exploration agreements worth billions of dollars; and

• coordinating and successfully representing the defence of a pharmaceutical company in connection with obtaining, through a final decision, the reduction by approximately 70% of the fine applied by the Competition Council.
