VentureConnect is a project aimed at facilitating investors’ direct contact with local IT, Online, Technology East European entrepreneurs who have already established successful businesses requiring additional investment. On November 23rd, the fourth VentureConnect edition is organized in Bucharest, at Hotel InterContinental. As with previous editions, there are expected between 10 - 15 pre-selected entrepreneurs to pitch their projects to potential investors. Projects can be submitted until 11th of November.
VentureConnect is the most promising pitching session in the region – having brought to Bucharest two times a year investors from U.S., Western Europe, the Central & East European region as well as Romania. One of the confirmed participating investors, GECAD Group (http://www.gecad.com), intends to invest EUR 300,000 for the coming three years in the businesses pitched at the VentureConnect gathering. Consequently, top-notch projects from IT, software, technology or e-commerce areas are expected to be pitched at the upcoming edition.
For the meeting in November 23rd, Doug Richard – investor, entrepreneur and founder of the School for Startups project will be present and deliver a considerable feedback for all the present startups. Together with Doug, other investors have announced their presence for the event.
“We are really confident in the talent and technological skills of young entrepreneurs in Eastern Europe, but also in their ability to come up with innovative business ideas and economically viable. We also believe it is time to showcase Romania in a totally different light. We want not only to financially support the projects chosen, but also to advice and to present them to other potential investors as they show significant signs of growth, “said Ana Maria Andronic, Senior Associate Biris Goran.
