Ateliere Fara Frontiere launches the call for projects ASSOCLIC, phase 2 for 2011. Through this stage, Ateliere Fara Frontiere, donates 500 computers to the structures which develops education, training and/or integration projects for their beneficiaries.
The second stage has the deadline for submission of application on 15 October 2011, the judging committee of the projects takes place on November 15’th, and it’s formed of representatives of the project partners, while on December 15’th takes place the honoring ceremony of the winners for this edition. The computers awarded to the winners will be used to carry out the proposed projects, initiatives design for local communities in order to increase access to education and information technology for the public in difficulty.
“We collect computers, and through the labor of the persons in great difficulty employed in the insertion workshop (often seen only as a problem, but which can be a resource for society), we recondition them, thus prolonging their duration of use. Most goes to social projects of education or vocational training, through the Donation Program ASSOCLIC. The persons who are excluded and marginalized, who have the motivation to reintegrate, thus have the opportunity to regain dignity and to rebuilt them self. The socio-professional insertion workshop reconciles the economic reasons and social need for a more just society, the fight against waste and sustainable development.” Raluca Ouriaghli, Executive Director, Ateliere Fara Frontiere.
In previous editions, ASSOCLIC recorded 459 registered projects, 4.202 requested computers. Of these totals, 268 organization were awarded, so that 26.500 beneficiaries have received the 1645 complete computers through the winning projects of the ASSOCLIC program.
