Business Superbrands 2007/2008

AmCham Romania was one of the 46 successful brands, which demonstrated high Quality, Reliability, Distinction and Trust on the Romanian market, validated by an independent and voluntary council. The 46 brands were awarded the Business Superbrands Trophy and were honored for their exceptional performance in the presence of 200 high-valued guests, icons of the Romanian business community during the Tribute Event which took place on the 5th of December in Bucharest.

The Business Superbrands Selection Process
• Independent research institute, Nielsen Romania, used a wide range of sources to compile a list of Romania’s leading Business-to-Business brands. From the thousands of brands initially considered, a list of up to 2,300 brands was forwarded to the Business Superbrands Council.
• The independent and voluntary Business Superbrands Council considers the list and members individually award each brand a score, according to the Superbrands methodology. Council members are not allowed to score brands with which they have a direct association or are in direct competition to.
• The lowest-scoring brands are eliminated, whereas a number of under 15% of the leading brands are usually validated and awarded “Business Superbrands” status and are invited to join the Business Superbrands programme.

Judging Criteria
Experts and business professionals considered the following definition of a Superbrands when voting:

“A Business Superbrand has established the finest reputation in its field. It offers customers significant emotional and/or tangible advantages over its competitors, which (consciously or sub-consciously) customers want, recognize, and are confident about investing in. Business Superbrands are targeted at businesses and organizations (although not exclusively so).

Business Superbrands must demonstrate: Quality, Reliability& Trust, Reputation & Prestige, and Distinction.
