The Center for Executive Education and Development (CEED Romania) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania) are announcing the end of the Top Class project – education and mentorship for entrepreneurs in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region.
Top Class was cofinanced by the EU through the Social European Fund – POSDRU 2007 – 2013.
Top Class activities were launched in September 2009 and were aimed at developing the entrepreneurship culture and improving managerial skills for entrepreneurs in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region. Project activities included Business Management courses, certified by CNFPA and delivered by experienced instructors, members of the CEED Romania network, open courses on topics of interest for the participants, mentorship sessions meant to facilitate the contact between experienced managers and Top Class beneficiaries, as well as networking sessions in view of creating the Top Class network in Romania.
Over 800 current or potential entrepreneurs, managers and employees in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region have been informed with regard to the learning opportunities offered by the Top Class project. Out of them, the direct beneficiaries of the Top Class activities are reflected in the statistics below:
- 88 current and potential entrepreneurs have been instructed during the 25 learning sessions
- 59 beneficiaries of the mentorship program
- 69 members registered in the Top Class network
- 26 participants to experience exchange sessions
- 32 business plans elaborated
Within the closing conference, Cristina Mănescu, Top Class Project Manager declared that following the interaction with the Top Class beneficiaries it is obvious that similar opportunities need to be created in order to contribute to “shaping an entrepreneurial culture among the entrepreneurs in the region, encouraging those who are not yet entrepreneurs to start their own business, and helping those already having a business to improve their managerial skills and their ability to use the existing market opportunities and the elements to increase their businesses’ competitiveness.”
The Top Class project was implemented by CEED Romania, the applicant, and AmCham Romania, as project partner.
