The Report reflects and evaluates the way in which the company has fulfilled its commitments towards clients, shareholders, employees, partners and the community

SIVECO Romania announces the launch of the Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Report, 2009 edition, the second such kind of document of the company.

The report evaluates in objective, critical and transparent manner the progress registered in 2009 compared to the previous year and the targets of development for the current year.

This way, the document thus becomes an instrument for change in the organization, by means of which the company communicates to co-interested groups the standards, the objectives, the economic and social performance, takes over feedback from these groups and redefines its priorities in accordance with it.

"Accomplishing the 2009 report regarding the sustainable development remains, similar to the 2008 report, still a pioneering approach in the Romanian IT industry. It reflects and evaluates the way in which we have fulfilled our commitments we have undertaken towards clients, shareholders, employees, partners and the community. In 2009 too, our involvement in social value projects was as consistent as ever, even if it meant considerable more effort than in previous years, when the general economic climate was friendlier", said Irina Socol, President and CEO of SIVECO Romania.

The 2009 CSR Report contains 14 chapters where there are analyzed the programs concerning the environment, the corporatist civism, quality business ethics, the social benefits of our products and the development targets.

The Report describes and quantifies the involvement of SIVECO Romania in projects of social value where the IT component plays a vital role: national and international projects for introducing IT into the state institutions and private companies, projects based on structural funds in the field of research, human resources, medical science, education, launching of new ecological IT solutions that allow the rational use of the resources necessary to any organization, involvement in educational projects addressed to the young generation, the employees' mobility plan, the green procurement plan, as well as involving employees in supporting some social projects on their own.

The first CSR report (2008) of SIVECO Romania has been rewarded with the prestigious distinction Ruban d'Honneur, at the Award for Corporate Sustainability category, from European Business Awards, for the company's innovation, excellence and sustainability in business.
