American Chamber of Commerce in Romania

The entrepreneurship and mentorship project destined to entrepreneurs in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region – Top Class, launched in November 2009 has attracted more than 160 participants registered for the program’s activities which will start on January 29, 2010 with the first learning session.

The learning sessions will be organized on a weekly basis, and registered participants can select both general management courses, certified by CNFPA (National Council for Adult Vocational Training) and free one-day courses.

The courses curricula is aimed at developing general management competences, and includes detailed courses on strategic management, business communication management, financial management, external financing management, human resources management, marketing or starting a small business.

At the same time, the project also includes networking learning events (NLE) which will be attended by mentors registered in the program. A NLE calendar will be available after launching the learning sessions, and it will shaped in accordance with the needs of participating mentees.
Participation to NLE or to mentoring activities is not limited to those attending the learning sessions. None of the Top Class activities involves any costs for participants.

The Top Class project, co-financed by the EU through the Social European Fund – AMPOSDRU meets the need to improve the entrepreneurship and managerial competences of entrepreneurs, managers and employees in the region in view of starting independent activities or developing existing businesses. The project is implemented by the Center for Economic Education and Development (CEED) – authorized training supplier with a wide experience in delivering learning sessions, as main partner, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania), professional association representing the business interests of its more than 300 members – American, international and local businesses.
