Consultation at EU level on: VAT- Review of existing legislation on invoicing

The European Commission has launched an online consultation to ascertain the views of businesses on the review of the existing legislation on VAT invoicing. The consultation is based on an Invoicing Study to be produced for the Commission. The Commission hopes to receive contributions concerning a selection of the recommendations (attached) contained in the Invoicing Study and other recommendations businesses may have. More information is contained in the consultation document (also attached).
Your comments, if any, should be sent by 19 September 2008 at the latest, directly to the e-mail address mentioned in the attached documents. If you want to have your comments sent through AmCham Romania, please send them to lpupazeanu@amcham.ro by September 18, 2008. AmCham Romania will centralize recommendations from members and forward them to the European Commission.
